Björn Prange

As Head of Pivot’s Management Team, Björn leads the company’s strategy development and corporate management activities. His area of expertise is in geostrategy and politics, where he employs more than 15 years of experience to provide clients with counsel on their external strategy process and political positioning. Björn has in-depth experience in EU and German political processes and supports clients in creating state-of-the-art public affairs setups, both organizationally and content-wise. His approach is based on the conviction that political change is the product of ideas and timing. He therefore takes a special interest in the continuities and disruptions of political thinking to help clients thrive at the edge of the political zeitgeist.

Björn holds a master’s degree in political science from the University of Regensburg and a PhD in state science from the University of the Bundeswehr Munich where his research focused on hybrid conflicts. He has gathered professional experience at the Representation of the State of Hesse in Berlin, the German Bundestag, the German Ministry of Defense, a political foundation in Washington, D.C., and worked for almost five years as a special assistant to a Bavarian State Minister.
